Tsugi, a leading provider of procedural audio technologies for the entertainment industries, is proud to announce the release of GameSynth 2021.1. This years massive update bridges the gap between procedural audio and linear sound design techniques, making procedural generation easier to use, and finally accessible to all.

GameSynth’ s new Patch Repository gives instant access to the largest collection of procedural audio models for games, animations, and moviesto date. Sound designers can now browse procedural audio models like they would browse their sample libraries; organizing, searching, and previewing sounds in one click, but with all the advantages afforded by procedural generationsuch as infinite sound variations, dynamic control, ultra-light memory footprint, and more.

For the first time, full compatibility with the Universal Category System(UCS) allows for the classification of procedural audio patches in well-defined categories and subcategories, like for audio samples.

For the sound designers, animators,or game developers new to procedural audio and to GameSynth, the Help Center drastically flattens the learning curve by providing access to the latest documentations, video tutorials and blog posts, directly from within the tool.

Advanced users will enjoy the new modules in the Modular model. They include generators such as Friction to simulate contact sounds, Sine Bank to perform additive synthesis, and Chaos for harsher, unstable sounds. It is also possible to sonify data with the CSV Data module. New processors such as Resonator great for physical modeling-and Frequency Shifter have also been added. Finally, the new Perlin Noise and Arpeggiator modules will provide new ways to control the parametersof a patch. In total, the Modular model of GameSynth now offers 120 synthesis modules specifically adapted to sound design for games and animations.

The user interface of the Modular model has also been improved for maximum patching efficiency; with new module toolbars, instant Smart Replaceto quickly test new ideas, drag and drop of curves between modules, import -export of module macrosfor more reusability, and more!

Finally, Sketch Pad scripting-available in all models (Whoosh, Impact, Particles etc.) - makes it possible to draw complex curves to drive the synthesized sounds, and to input pressure information even without using a graphic tablet.
